Coil systems with diameter up to 2m to compensate the Earth field and to generate
calibration DC and AC fields.

Air coils to generate 50Hz demagnetisation flux up to 100 Gauss

Torquer Coils

Magnetorquer
An autonomously working torquer system, based on direct magnetic field measurement was
developed for the Equator S spacecraft. Four iron cored coils mounted in the plane
perpendicular to the spacecraft spin axis (each 140 Am²) and two air coils around
the spin axis (each 100 Am²) comprise the main structure of the torquer.
The system has successfully spinned up the spacecraft from 6 to 40 rpm in one
week only.
Magson has designed and produced the magnetorquer coils and has developed parts
of the software algorithm.
